Recently, the Artificial Intelligence Medical Device Innovation Cooperation Platform held the first Management Committee in 2020 and the work summary meeting in the first half of 2020. The Medical Data Application Technology Research Working Group (hereinafter referred to as the Working Group), led by the Medical Device Technology Review Center of the State Drug Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Device Review Center), reported on its work.Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the clinical management of intensive care (ICU) and other departments and the monitoring of life information of critically ill patients have become particularly important. The working group reported on the exploratory results achieved in critical care medicine during the epidemic prevention and control period.

It is reported that during the epidemic prevention and control period, the working group, together with the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army), Beijing Union Hospital, Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Mianyang Central Hospital, Shenzhen Mindray Biomedical Electronics Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shumu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and other units, actively responded to the clinical needs of the front hospital, in view of the problems of severe massive data management, frequent false alarms and alarm fatigue, data missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, Wuhan Red Cross Hospital, Wuhan Tongji Hospital Sino-French New City Campus, Wuhan Wuchang Hospital built a life information data remote ICU/CCU management network Platform (hereinafter referred to as the platform). The platform has played a more important role in better and faster treatment of severely ill patients and winning the epidemic prevention war, but there are still many problems that need to be solved in the follow-up.

Jointly build a mobile ICU

On March 8th, Huang Xiaobo, director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, launched the platform in front of the patient's bed in the intensive Care Unit of Wuhan Red Cross Hospital. There are 7 experts from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and experts from Beijing 301 Hospital and Beijing Union Hospital online at the other end of the platform.Through the platform, images are transmitted to each expert in real time for experts to discuss cases and discuss the best treatment plan.According to the request of the rear expert, the patient did a cardiac color ultrasound again.

“This platform can connect our room visits online. By adjusting the camera, the rear experts can grasp the real-time status of ultrasound, imaging dynamics, patient dose, etc., and the vital signs of seriously ill patients and other first-hand data, and comprehensively understand the changes in the patient's condition."Huang Xiaobo introduced.

“Unlike the remote consultation platform that major hospitals are now doing, the remote management platform we are doing is actually a mobile ICU/CCU platform.Around October last year, we had already discussed with the Shenzhen Mindray medical team the transformation of the ECG monitoring information integration plan, made some prototypes and connected the remote ICU information to the hardware, and then did real-time online monitoring of more than 20 patients in the CCU cardiac monitoring room of our hospital."Chen Yundai, dean of the Graduate School of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital and director of the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, pointed out that one of the purposes of the establishment of the platform is to solve the problem of frequent false alarms in the ICU.

Long Yun, director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Beijing Union Hospital, said that big data and remote consultations are relatively popular, and there is a greater demand for the combination of the two in some remote areas of our country. The members of the working group have been exploring this area, and the previous work has been applied in a timely manner in this epidemic. The working group is similar to a specialist alliance composed of people in the industry. Together, we explore the development direction of the discipline of critical care medicine.

“The establishment of the platform is both accidental and inevitable. In fact, everyone did not consider building this platform after the outbreak of the epidemic.During the anti-epidemic period in Wuhan, the members of the working group were wondering if they could integrate the hospital's LAN and national expert resources to rescue critically ill patients."Wang Dong, secretary of the Party Committee of Mianyang Central Hospital, said that inspired by the SARS period and the new medical reform, he has been thinking repeatedly about how to use information technology to monitor remote life information and data.Previously, Mianyang Central Hospital had built a local area network to connect data from some county-level medical institutions.

According to reports, after actual operation, the platform has initially realized the sharing of life information data and ICU/CCU medical resources for critically ill patients, optimized the alarm response and clinical decision-making process of critically ill patients, and can reduce medical errors such as missed data and misdiagnosis, improve clinical work efficiency, and reduce the work pressure and labor intensity of doctors and nurses.
